Since 1995 Jason Alexander artistic style has been compared to the work of the Impressionist and Fauvist painters. His recent work with its intense colour, strong patterns and skewed perspectives references the work of Cezannae and Matisse. In Jason`s compositions the flat surface of the canvas becomes a multi-layered tableau and although the scenes depicted border on the surreal, he is able to maintain a sense of connection between the work and the observer. He has participated in numerous solos and group exhibitions across North America. A graduate of Ontario College of Art and Design in Toronto Canada 1987. Employed in advertising as a creative director in the late 1980`s and taught acrylic painting and design at Centennial College in Toronto Canada through out the 1990`s, when devoting himself in 1995 as an independent visual artist.
